The Kaziranga park is divided into four main safari zones for helping tourists to explore the park safely. Each zone has different wildlife, landscape, and experiences
This is one of the most popular zones in Kaziranga, which is located near the main entrance and provides the best chances to spot one-horned rhinos, elephants, wild buffaloes, deer, and various bird species. This place is popular among tourists because of the good animal viewing and water bodies
The Western zone is popular for high chances of rhino sightings, having more open grasslands as compared to other zones. This area is rich in wildlife and famous for photography lovers. Jeep safaris are very common and are usually more peaceful because of less tourists.
This location along the Brahmaputra River is a birdwatcher's paradise. The eastern zone is filled with wetlands and attracts hundreds of migratory and local birds. Tourists also see elephants, deer, and tigers here, but birds are said to be the main attraction. The landscape of this zone is a mix of dense forest and riverside views, which gives a different experience from other zones.
This zone is less crowded and perfect for those who want to enjoy nature walks and trekking. Jeep safaris are available here easily but the main attraction is to explore the hills and dense forest on foot with the help of a guide. It is a home of elephants, langurs and also big cats
