
Kaziranga National Park has achieved a new tourism milestone during the 2025-26 tourist season by welcoming a record 4,68,147 visitors. The steady rise in both domestic and international tourists has helped the famous national park and tiger reserve surpass all previous visitor records.
According to the park authorities, the total tourist count for the 2025-26 season includes 4,37,673 domestic tourists and 30,474 foreign tourists. Around 4.5% of the total visitors came from overseas. In comparison, the park had received 4,06,564 tourists during the 2024-25 season.
Official data revealed a significant increase of 61,583 visitors this year, including 48,802 more domestic tourists and 12,781 additional foreign tourists compared to the previous season. The growing popularity of Kaziranga National Park among wildlife and nature lovers continues to boost tourism in Assam.
Adding to its global recognition, Assam and Kaziranga were recently featured by The New York Times among the world’s must-visit travel destinations.
