One of the key decisions is the introduction of an online booking system for jeep and elephant safaris. The system will allow visitors to reserve safari slots in advance and make payments online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne of the noteworthy decisions is online booking for jeep safari and elephant safari. Visitors can now book their slots for jeep safari and elephant safari online with advance payments, ensuring smooth processing on dates, as many faced difficulties and uncertainties earlier,\u201d Mallabaruah said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Forest Department will soon develop a digital booking platform to facilitate the new system, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the minister, discussions also covered eco-tourism and measures to increase the share of tourism revenue reaching local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials said more than 4.7 lakh tourists visited the park this season, while the number of foreign tourists also increased significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Forest Department is preparing to implement restrictions on the use of mobile phones and other devices by tourists in the inner core and remote areas of Kaziranga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
